About Project

Builder’s Choice Grand Award in 2006 for “Best Loft Conversion”

At 160 Fremont Street, we completed the conversion of a former shoe sole manufacturing mill into 97 contemporary loft condominiums. The industrial character of the building was maintained by sandblasting and exposing the original interior brick walls and beams. The units featured exposed duct work and pipes combined with modern finishes including wood floors and stainless steel appliances for a edgy-urban feel.

The Abrams Group is proud to have been honored with a Builder’s Choice Grand Award in 2006 for “Best Loft Conversion” for this project.

Features

Soft Geometry and Warm Materiality in Harmony

We utilized layered lighting, curved architectural details, and tactile finishes to evoke calm and balance. Subtle transitions between spaces allow natural light to flow freely while maintaining a sense of enclosure.
