About Project

An Warm Space Rooted in Quiet Sophistication

This 6,500 square foot , 6 Bedroom, 5.5 Bathroom 1920’s Tudor home in Chestnut Hill was completely modernized and restored to maintain its significant historic features.  The rehabilitation included the creation of a modern family room and kitchen as well as significant layout changes to provide increased closet space and a large master bath featuring a full shower, private lavatory, freestanding soaking tub and dual vanity.  In addition, all the mechanical electric and plumbing where replaced with state-of the art systems.

Exterior improvements included all new windows, repointed brick, and preservation of the original slate roof.  The landscaping consisted of new privacy fencing, a bluestone patio, deck with French doors and extensive plantings

Features

Soft Geometry and Warm Materiality in Harmony

We utilized layered lighting, curved architectural details, and tactile finishes to evoke calm and balance. Subtle transitions between spaces allow natural light to flow freely while maintaining a sense of enclosure.
