Gralynn Road Newton, MA
This early 1930’s English Tutor was updated from a 50 year old renovation to a transitional interior finishes not often seen in todays’ new construction homes. The challenging interior layout was reconfigured to create a modern kitchen and family room. In addition, there was a never utilized 1200 square foot third floor attic with high ceilings which was turned into a large den and bedroom with a full staircase. All the existing mechanicals where replaced with state of the art new systems.
Outside we repointed brick, installed new windows, restored an underutilized three season porch and created a new mahogany deck with French Doors accessible from the home.

Woodchester Drive Chestnut Hill, MA
This 1930’s stately home was completely restored and updated with new finishes, a modern layout and systems. Overgrown and in poor repair there where many contractors and owners who wanted to tear down the home. Where others saw a lost relic we saw a beauty that needed to be brought to life. We performed extensive masonry repairs, installed a new slate roof, windows, copper gutters and downspouts.
Inside we saved a floor to ceiling paneled living room, limestone fireplace, wrought iron staircase and inlaid, oak wood flooring.
Outside we restored a brick and wrought iron wall that surrounded the property, built a new entrance out brick and bluestone, created two new driveways and built a three car brick and slate carriage house with an upstairs au pair suite.

Buckminster Road Brookline, MA
Abrams Properties renovated and redesigned this stunning 9,000 SF residential estate in the Fisher Hill Neighborhood. The project included a meticulous restoration of the property’s historic features with repair of the original slate roof, extensive re-pointing, removal of non-original design elements, restoration of historic features and replacement of the mechanical systems.
In addition, the home was modernized to include a family room, eat in kitchen and large master bath. We added 2,300 SF of new living space which included an au-pair suite, play room and gym, all while retaining the property’s original charm.
The home was sold above the asking price before being listed on the market.
